T7 Fork Guard Protectors

There are so many things to love about the 700 Tenere but Yamaha's choice of body plastic material is not one of them! For reasons unknown, Yamaha opted to make the T7's body panels from brittle ABS plastic instead of the far more durable polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) materials commonly used in more dirt oriented motorcycles. The T7s fork guards are easily damaged when riding offroad. They are about $30 a piece to replace (if they aren't back-ordered). The most common failure is breaking the lower mounting tab off which requires replacement of the entire fork guard. Well, I should say that it used to require replacing the fork guard. After breaking countless guards during our offroad adventures, we...

Pan America - Gut Guard Skid Plate Install

Camel ADV Gut Guard skid plates, designed, tested and built in the rugged Canadian Rockies. The Pan America is a big, beefy bike and it needs a big, beefy skid plate to protect it. If you're going to take this bad boy off the beaten path, you better plate up! Like many new bikes, the Harley-Davidson Pan America uses the motor as a "stressed member". The motor itself is an integral part of the motorcycle's chassis. The Pan America has many components that would normally be mounted to frame work under the motor are attached to the motor itself (rear suspension linkage, side stand, skid plate etc). This creates a challenge when designing a skid plate to protect the underside...

Camel ADV T7 Minimalist Rack Cargo Install

From the factory, the Yamaha T7 has no place to carry even the smallest bag. Yamaha included four cargo lashing points but no cargo plate of any kind. Even rackless luggage is difficult to mount on this bike as there are no rear tie-down points. We wanted to make a minimalist, low-profile cargo plate that added was just big enough to carry your tool kit or day pack without being too bulky. Also, it acts as a lashing point for rackless soft bags such as the Mosko Moto Reckless line or the Giant Loop type luggage. Our Minimalist rack mounts using the rear two threaded subframe mounts (on the side of the bike) and two down to the back of...

700 Tenere Loop Out

I managed to loop the T7 while riding a rocky cutline. It's my first actual ADV loop out. All things considered, it faired pretty well with only a cracked handguard shield. Right after my loop, Jaden managed an inadvertent 180° pivot turn on the lower ledge section. Shoot us a like on Facebook to keep up with more content like this!

Pan America "The Shooting Gallery" Hill Climb

Ongoing testing of our Camel ADV Products Gut Guard for the Harley Davidson Pan America adventure bike. In an effort to keep the bike's wheels round, we're running more air pressure than we would on other ADV bikes in similar terrain. The loose rocks were pretty challenging after I got stopped on the hill. TKC80s at 30psi made getting started on the hill again a bit challenging. 350 Husky Over the Edge

Our new Japanese Mistress!

We were expecting the 2022 KLR back in May-June but the worldwide microchip shortage pushed production back a few months. Two weeks ago we got the call the our '22 KLR Adventure was here, built and ready to pick up.I haven't spent much time on it and I have very little seat time on any year KLR but this updated model sure seems to be better than I remember. The motor seems to have more grunt (it's all relative). I was cruising around the city this afternoon and I realized of all the bikes I have access too at the shop, this is the one I like best for city riding. It's easy to ride, does what it needs to...
