We hate to report this but all forms of contact between the Camel Crew and our customers are currently down. There are, unfortunately, delays as we find the means to reach out to each of you in the order that we received contact.
We truly appreciate your patience while we troubleshoot and solve the problem.

]]>We spent the night in Silverton, then rode Engineer Pass from the Poughkeepsie Gulch side. We'd been up Engineer Pass a couple times previously, but all were from the Animas Forks side, which is much mellower.

]]>On day 3, we rode 7 peaks:
-Stony Pass 12,592ft (3,838m)
-Cinnamon Pass 12,620ft (3847m)
-California Pass 12,960ft (3950m)
-Hurricane Pass 12,730ft (3880m)
-Corkscrew Pass 12,244ft (3732m)
-Imogene Pass 13,114 (3997m)
-Ophir Pass 11,814ft (3601m) Optional, not officially part of the challenge
I got our first (and only) flat tire of the trip. Yes, I have tubes in my tubeless rims. Seating a tubeless tire on a wide rim can be nearly impossible with a small pump while on trail. The DX rims are very wide and with certain tires, we've even had a tough time seating them in the shop with a 5hp air compressor.

Like many T7 riders, we were waiting for one of the big plastic companies to start producing Tenere panels but no one was doing it... so we did!
Our T7 side fairings are made from the same plastic that is used in dirt bike fenders and fairings which is far better suited for your backcountry adventures.
Our fairings are:
-Direct bolt-on replacements, easy install!
-Significantly more durable than the factory ABS panels
-About half the cost of OEM replacement panels
-Guaranteed against cracking for 3 years; if you break it, we will replace it for free*
-SOLD IN PAIRS
Are you adding a decal kit to your bike? Wrap these fairing instead and keep your OEM parts shiny and new for increased resale value!
Shipping, taxes, duties etc on replacement panels is the customer's responsibility.
**These panels are bare plastic; they have no paint or decals. We cannot guarantee an exact color match to your bike's other white or black panels!
***International Customers: (outside the US and Canada) All extra fees such as taxes, duties, tariffs, brokerage, etc are not included in the purchase price. Customers are wholly responsible for the payment of these fees!

]]>Building from the experience we've gained from our Africa Twin and Yamaha T7 High Fender Kits, we designed this kit for the extremely capable Aprilia Tuareg. This high-fender kit is built to last and perform in even the most extreme off-road conditions.
The Camel ADV High Fender Kit enhances your bike's look and provides increased tire-to-fender clearance to keep things turning in muddy conditions. It's the perfect addition for riders looking to take their off-road adventures to the next level.
And with easy installation, you can have the Camel ADV High Fender Kit on your bike in no time, ready to take on your next adventure. Plus, its sleek design adds a touch of style and sophistication to your bike, making it stand out from the crowd.
Don't settle for anything less than the best for your Tuareg!
Your kit includes the following:
-Black anodized billet 6061 fender adaptor
-Galfer braided stainless steel brake line and hardware
-Anodized aluminum fork guard adaptors
-All required fasteners
-Camel ADV decals
The fender and fork guards themselves are NOT INCLUDED in the kit!
Why? Several reasons:
-Shipping our kit without a fender and fork guards is much more affordable for customers. Fenders are bulky and require a much larger shipping box than the conversion parts.
-We buy fenders at near retail prices. Our cost to purchase fenders is usually higher than our customers' local price.
-All that been said, in the future, we may stock one fender style in a few colors just in case you don't want to source your own.
Fender info:
Due to the short distance from the bike's triple clamp to the rad guard and the overall size of the fork guards, we recommend using the PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender.
-White PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500001
-Black PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500002
-Yellow PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500003
-Blue PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500005
-Red PoliSport SM Line/UFX fender: 8553500006
Fork Guard Info:
Due to the unique mounting arrangement of the Tuareg's low fender, standard dirtbike-style fork guards are not compatible with the Tuareg's forks. You will need Norden 901 fork guard kit (part number below) to complete your conversion.
-Norden 901 Fork Guard - KTM part# 63501994044C1 (PAIR)
KTM 790R or 890R fork guards can also be used, but they have an orange graphic molded into the plastic.

This isn't a new product, but we wanted to update a few things in the video for clarity when installing it.
The first thing we noticed when we rode the new T7 is that the gauge cluster looked like it wasn't even bolted to the bike. Did someone on the assembly line forget some fasteners? The T7 is a great bike... why is the cluster trying to jump off?! Why does the headlight look like a strobe light at night when traveling a rough road? Great news, they don't need to do that.
With our Anti-Bobble-Head (ABH) installed, the gauges stay where they should, and the headlight will no longer induce seizures (hyperbole). Constructed of 304 stainless steel that's TIG welded and then powder-coated, the ABH brackets look great, are easy to install, and it really firms up the front end of your bike.

]]>The Aprilia Tuareg is a very capable ADV bike, but to make the most of its dirt prowess, it needs a big, beefy skid plate to protect it. If you take this bad boy off the beaten path, you better plate up!
Like many new bikes, the 660 Tuareg uses the engine as a "stressed member." The motor itself is an integral part of the motorcycle's chassis. This creates a challenge when designing a skid plate to protect the underside of the motor from damage caused by rocks, stumps, logs, etc. A skid plate can be mounted directly to the motor, but the force from a solid impact is transferred into the engine case. This can cause a cracked engine case which can be a costly and lengthy repair.
The Camel ADV Gut Guard uses an impact-absorbing subframe mounting plate to disperse the energy from significant hits. The energy created when the bike collides with rocks, roots, stumps, etc, is distributed to all of the skid plate's mounting locations rather than just to the location of the hit. This distribution of force means the chances of damaging the engine case due to a large hit are drastically reduced.
We've spent much time designing and testing our Tuareg Gut Guard skid plate to ensure it'll take the abuse we know some of you will throw at it!
Camel ADV Tuareg Gut Guard Skid Plate Features:
-4.78mm 5052 aluminum main body
-Powder-coated for durability and a great look for years to come
-304 stainless steel, impact-absorbing mounting sub-frame
-Drainage holes to allow mud, water, and debris to escape
-A catalytic converter cover to keep the heat away from your boots
-Optional full coverage UHMW slip-liner available
Confirmed fit with the following crash bar systems:
-OEM Aprilia
-Hepco Becker
-HEED
-More systems to be added
When ordering, make sure to select the proper crash bar option in the drop-down menu!

Part 2 of of our 5 Miles of Hell ride.
]]>
5 Miles of Hell is touted as Utah's Toughest Single-Track Trail. We wanted to see if we could complete this monster on ADV bikes... it was a hell of a day!
I'd watched a pile of 5moh videos over the years, so I had an idea of what to expect. The stars aligned, and we had the right group of guys in Moab simultaneously, so we dove in head first.
Seth was riding a KTM 890R (790 plastics) with Anakee Wilds.
Radek was on his KTM 890 Rally with Michelin Desert Rally tires.
Jaden and Cory were both on Yamaha T7s with Shinko 216 MX tires.

An update on our Yamaha T7 "The Fix" rear brake pedal.

We intended to do a mellow ride as it was the first ride of the year. I'd ridden this trail a few times but always on an enduro. It a fun flowy trail but there are some sections that are challenging on an ADV bike.
There's more riding footage to be found on our YouTube channel. :)
