690 Crash

We were riding down a fire road in British Columbia, just before a slight right-hand curve in the road, there was a water bar (small drainage ditch) cut in. The rider on the 690 didn't see it due to dust. He hit it, lost control, and ended up in the left side ditch. He was OK but there was a lot of damage to his bike.

The bike's handlebars were wedged behind a stump on one side and a 3" diameter tree on the other side. It was jammed in such a way that we needed to cut the tree to get the bike out.
