Yamaha T7 High Exhaust Kit - Rally Bend: Elevate Your Ride!

The Yamaha 700 Tenere has so much to love, but its stock exhaust? That’s a different story. It’s a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation. Sure, it looks and sounds great, but it’s positioned low and wide, hanging off a long exhaust hanger welded to the subframe. When the bike takes a tumble on the right side, the hanger can bend, causing the muffler to grind into the swingarm. If you don’t bend it back before riding again, the steel muffler can gouge into the aluminum swingarm (check out the photos). After enough falls, you could even crack the hanger at the subframe.

Having dealt with this frustrating damage ourselves, we created a solution. The Rally Bend High Exhaust Kit raises the muffler up much higher and closer to the bike’s centerline, protecting it from harm. To make this work, we designed a new link pipe and a shorter bracket, drastically reducing leverage on the hanger by about 50%. Now, your exhaust stays safe even when the trail gets rough.

Kit includes:

  • 304 stainless steel "Lobster-Back" link pipe with wire heel guards for rider and pillion
  • CNC billet 6061 aluminum clamp that’s anodized for durability. The patent-pending bracket is easy to install and shortens the hanger for greater protection.
  • Optional stainless muffler that’s lightweight and durable
  • All necessary fasteners, springs, exhaust clamps, graphite seal, and Camel ADV decals.
  • Signal Light Heat Shield

Update: Our standard mufflers are back in stock! These new stainless steel mufflers come with a black painted end cap, replacing the previous carbon fiber version. They sound amazing, are built to last, and now attach via a clamp rather than springs.

Important Notes:
- OEM and Akrapovic mufflers are not compatible with this kit.
- Yamaha's GYTR rear fuel tanks are not compatible

No Muffler? No Problem!
If you’re ordering without a muffler, consider the Black Widow SC30H or UN30H. Universal mufflers from Max Torque Cans are also great options that fit our kit perfectly and offer excellent quality.

Optional Add-On:
Consider ordering a 51mm Spark Arrestor with your exhaust kit.

Important Tail Tidy Tip:  
If you’re using a Tail Tidy, we recommend swapping out the OEM incandescent signal lights for smaller LED units. The heat shield provided in the kit won’t fully protect the larger OEM signals from exhaust heat, which can cause them to melt. The OEM signals are fine if you’re keeping the original tail section.

I ordered kit with Standard exhaust. Everything installed easily. I watched the YouTube install video by Camel. The process went for me as well as presented by the Camel Technician. My only concern is that the exhaust tip of the Standard exhaust may be prone to letting water enter the pipe if left out in the rain. I live in the Pacific North West and it rains plenty. Of course knowing this, I’ll take easy precaution of covering the tail end of the exhaust pipe when camping.

On my second T7. For three years I was being bothered by the low hanging muffler and the scratched up swingarm. Still, I was trying to avoid cutting the "subframe". If you cut it, you'd better have a precisely engineered solution. Camel Adv delivered exactly that. With a 7 dollars manual mini tube cutter and a package from camel adv, it all happened in less than an hour. This is a great product from a great company. Customer service unmatched. And it's properly priced. You don't pay for the muffler, you pay for the solution (although the camel logo looks cool too).
