The Gen 2 Gut Guard is beefier than the original and has several upgrades (but is still the same price)! This new unit is compatible with the 2019-2024 KTM 790 and 890 ADV and the Norden 901. 

The Gen 2 Gut Guard has the same top-shelf protection as the original and is available with aluminum fuel tank lobe protectors for ridiculous durability. This thing is a beast!
The tank lobe protectors are NOT compatible with the Norden 901!

Constructed of 3/16" (4.75mm) aluminum, the plate is extremely stout (we've tested the sh*t out of it). All the joints are welded inside and out, and the whole unit is powder-coated for a great look. The rear of the skid plate attaches with a beefy 3/16" (4.75mm) stainless steel bracket that mounts to the frame for ultimate strength and engine protection.

The tank lobe protectors are available separately and they are compatible with our Gen 1 Gut Guard skid plate.

The 2023-up KTM 790/890 ADV bikes do not have removable OEM tank lobe protectors (like the 2019-2022 models) so you will need our additional lobe protectors as well.

Absolute quality product and looks great!
Installation was easy following the instructions. Removal and reinstalling on the bike was simple.

Strong protection

The Camel skid plate is really good. It did bend just a little inward towards the gas tank on a very soft drop. I do worry just a little if there were a harder hit if it would protect the gas tank any better than the stock 2024 890 KTM Adventure R Rally guard. It looks great and install was easy.

Expensive - Great fitment/Easy install

Expensive, well over $600 for a skid plate that you have to purchase separately (for the KTM) to get the full coverage. Great fitment on my '24 890 Rally, however, the hardware I think could be a little more stout. Also, the clips on the bottom of the skid plate mount where not long enough. Ended up just installing lock nuts and lock tight.

Perfect Fit/Easy Install ‘24 790

Perfect fit and easy install. Much more substantial than the OEM plate. Cory nailed it again. Can’t wait to bounce this off some rocks!

Great 890 Engine & Fuel Tank Protection

I recently sheared off the fuel tank on my KTM 890 Adventure R while riding in Moab. The stock KTM Fuel Tank protection is inadequate, and left me stranded in the desert, with a $2,000 bill to replace the tank.

I installed the Camel ADV Gut Guard and optional Fuel Tank Lobes, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Everything fit together nicely, and the Install Videos are a great resource to help with the process.

The quality is top-notch, just like the rest of their stuff.

I would recommend this company all day long!
