T7 Minimalist Rear Cargo Rack

$119.00 USD

Compatibility on the 2025 model year 700 Tenere is not yet confirmed!

From the factory, the Yamaha T7 has no place to carry anything. They included four cargo lashing points but no cargo plate of any kind. Even rackless luggage is difficult to mount on this bike as there are no rear tie-down points.

We wanted to make a minimalist, low-profile cargo plate that added was just big enough to carry your tool kit or day pack without being too bulky. Also, it acts as a lashing point for rackless soft bags such as the Mosko Moto Reckless line or the Giant Loop type luggage.

Our Minimalist rack mounts using the rear two threaded subframe mounts (on the side of the bike) and two down to the back of the subframe. To access the rear mounting points, drilling is required but we include a step drill bit to ensure an easy installation.

Your kit includes:

  • TIG-welded, powder-coated, 11ga, 304 stainless steel cargo rack
  • Aluminum thread couplers
  • Aluminum spacers
  • Stainless steel fasteners
  • Step drill bit

This cargo rack is not intended to be used with "top box" type luggage or fuel cans over 1 gal (4L)! Recommended weight limit 10lbs (4.5kg).

Slick rack

This rack is right up my alley! It fits the T7 perfectly! Installation is a little more involved than other racks, but everything is included, even the drill bit. Don’t be scared to drill the holes. It’s worth it to not have an “around the world” monster rack on the back!

Great quality - fits the 2025!

Worth every penny.

Yes, you can go buy a China one that bolts right up with minimal effort and looks like crap for $50, if you're taking the time to read this review, it means you care about what you're spending your money on. This minimalist luggage rack is sleek, high-quality, and well thought out.

It's absolutely perfect for the Mosko reckless series bags I'm currently just running the reckless 80l fully loaded and it is flawless, When I'm not running my bags, I have a biltwell backpack cinched to this backrack that I slide my work laptop and gear in and out of.

I was so happy with camels quality that I went and ordered the soft luggage side racks as well. If you're curious about why this rack is different than all of the other ones watch the Install video and look at how it physically attaches to the bike, it is more aesthetically pleasing, and it's an actual engineered piece. Admittedly, I was a little bit intimidated, drilling into my plastics but the supplied drill bit and video made it absolutely painless. Simple things done the right way are always worth it.

If I could add anything to the install process in conjunction with the video, when removing the tac welded bolt from the frame, I just put a socket on it with a breaker bar and twisted it right off instead of punching it through the frame with the supplied bolt and a hammer, it just seemed quicker that way.

Fits 2025 T7

Assembly was just as previous versions, just the plastics are different and how they come off. Overall I'm happy with the quality of the rack and tail tidy and how secure the mounting is to the bike. Looking forward to buying more products for my T7.

Instructions were easy to follow, as usual. Fit and finish is great. I misplaced the short spacers included with the luggage racks and Camel was quick to respond and has sent me replacement spacers in the mail.

Update: short spacers arrived from Camel last night and i was able to finish the install! Awesome customer service that helped me without hesitation, even though it was my mistake.
