T7 Minimalist Rear Cargo Rack

$119.00 USD

Compatibility on the 2025 model year 700 Tenere is not yet confirmed!

From the factory, the Yamaha T7 has no place to carry anything. They included four cargo lashing points but no cargo plate of any kind. Even rackless luggage is difficult to mount on this bike as there are no rear tie-down points.

We wanted to make a minimalist, low-profile cargo plate that added was just big enough to carry your tool kit or day pack without being too bulky. Also, it acts as a lashing point for rackless soft bags such as the Mosko Moto Reckless line or the Giant Loop type luggage.

Our Minimalist rack mounts using the rear two threaded subframe mounts (on the side of the bike) and two down to the back of the subframe. To access the rear mounting points, drilling is required but we include a step drill bit to ensure an easy installation.

Your kit includes:

  • TIG-welded, powder-coated, 11ga, 304 stainless steel cargo rack
  • Aluminum thread couplers
  • Aluminum spacers
  • Stainless steel fasteners
  • Step drill bit

This cargo rack is not intended to be used with "top box" type luggage or fuel cans over 1 gal (4L)! Recommended weight limit 10lbs (4.5kg).

T7 Minimalist Cargo Rack

Exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want a large rear rack because I don’t plan on mounting much to it. I mainly wanted it as a lashing point for my bags and possibly as a mounting point for my MSR fuel bottle. Couldn’t be happier with it. Installation was fairly simple especially while being able to follow the video. The only thing I had to modify/shorten was the rear spacers that came with my Motoes side racks.

Very clean looking, not bulky at all.

I have the tusk pannier racks and top rack for when I want my Nelson Rigg Adventure tail bag and Nelson Rigg Hurricane pannier luggage with the mount plates. But that system is really bulky for everyday use. With the Camel minimalist rack and Camel soft luggage plates….i can use my dual sport Nelson Rigg tail bag and Tusk Traverse soft panniers….This setup is perfect for my everyday needs. The minimalist rack is very easy to install and easy to take off if I want to switch it out. I wasn’t hesitant at all about the drilling since I switched out the OEM plastics with R-Tech plastics. I have bought numerous things from CAMEL ADV and I have not been disappointed by any of them.

2025 Tenere 700 Install

I know it’s not confirmed fitment yet, but I ordered this for my 2025 Tenere 700 and was able to perform the install.

The welded nuts are easy to take off if you use a 3/8” drive 13mm socket from above and just break them off.

Top holes needed a little bit of filling to get everything to line up, I’m not sure if that’s due to changes for this model year or due to my poor aim while drilling. Either way it all fit together in the end and looks/feels great.

10 out of 10

Install was easy enough thanks to the video. So happy that I managed to make the 2024 rack work on my 2025. Instead of bashing out the nut I chose to drill it out for clearance. I am thrilled with the result. Looking forward to bolting on more Camel products. Waiting on the new 2025 exhaust bracket.

Very happy with this rear cargo rack, NO fitment issues at all with the new tenere 2025.
