T7 Minimalist Rear Cargo Rack

Compatibility on the 2025 model year 700 Tenere is not yet confirmed!

From the factory, the Yamaha T7 has no place to carry anything. They included four cargo lashing points but no cargo plate of any kind. Even rackless luggage is difficult to mount on this bike as there are no rear tie-down points.

We wanted to make a minimalist, low-profile cargo plate that added was just big enough to carry your tool kit or day pack without being too bulky. Also, it acts as a lashing point for rackless soft bags such as the Mosko Moto Reckless line or the Giant Loop type luggage.

Our Minimalist rack mounts using the rear two threaded subframe mounts (on the side of the bike) and two down to the back of the subframe. To access the rear mounting points, drilling is required but we include a step drill bit to ensure an easy installation.

Your kit includes:

  • TIG-welded, powder-coated, 11ga, 304 stainless steel cargo rack
  • Aluminum thread couplers
  • Aluminum spacers
  • Stainless steel fasteners
  • Step drill bit

 

This cargo rack is not intended to be used with "top box" type luggage or fuel cans over 1 gal (4L)! Recommended weight limit 10lbs (4.5kg).

It's a great looking rack!

It's a great top rack that I got to be able to strap down my rackless luggage on my T7. Install is not complex, but you have to follow the steps and drill through the plastics. You need to know that going in (which I did), and Cory is explicit about that in his install video. So watch that first if you are on the fence.

I found the fit was pretty good, although I did struggle getting the last bolt in even with the other ones loose. It feels solid and I am glad I went with it over another brand that is cantilevered and uses all 4 tie down bolts to secure it, even if they do have a higher weight rating. This will do the trick and is a great rack!

T7 Minimalist Tail Rack

Easy install. The video was gold. Love the looks of it on the bike. Perfect for my tool roll for day trips, and easy install of a GL GB bag for moto-camping. Very happy.
