"The Fix" - T7 Rear Brake Pedal

$169.00 USD

You no longer have to deal with the Yamaha 700 Tenere's mushy rear brake! The Fix brake pedal addresses the OEM pedal issues. Install one on your bike and feel the difference!

The Fix brake pedal has a modified leverage ratio, which activates your rear brake with less pedal travel and less ankle deflection. This results in a crispier, more "sporty" brake feel.

You asked for a Fix version that was compatible with lowered footpegs; well, it's here! Make sure to select "V2" from the drop-down menu on the right side when ordering.

"The Fix" Features

  • Corrected leverage ratio, reducing pedal travel by about half compared to stock
  • Durable 6.4mm thick 304 stainless steel construction
  • Straighter shape to reduce pedal flexing while braking
  • Brass bushings to reduce slop in the pedal main pivot point
  • Grippy, replaceable stainless steel brake tip
  • Offset clevis to correct the master-cylinder pushrod angle
  • Black powder-coated finish
  • Enduro or larger Street tip option

V1 or V2? Which is for you?

The V1's flatter profile has less flex through the pedal when applied but it cannot be adjusted low enough to be used with lowered footpegs.

The V2's high OEM-style arch offers plenty of room for adjustment down when using lowered footpegs. The higher arch also means it will flex a bit more when you apply pressure to the pedal.

Both pedals offer the same leverage ratio correction, and both pedals flex far less than the OEM mild steel pedal.

Customers using a bolt-on water pump protector or a skid plate with a protector over the pump should consider the street or folding tip, as part of the tip will be covered with aftermarket water pump protectors.

*The V1 pedal is not recommended for use with lowered footpegs!

Shouldn't be necessary, but it is!

Picked up a used T7 that had been sitting for a year (I know, it's just not right!) and it had almost no rear brake. Bled it and it felt OK at first, but became soft again soon after. I assumed I still had a leak or more air in the system, but with so many positive reviews of this (and negative reviews of the stock brake) I just put one on and wow the rear brake feels great now! Not sure how or why Yamaha messed up, but I'm happy Camel sells the part to improve it!! Time will tell if I'm still getting air from somewhere, a braided hose straight to the caliper will be next, but there is an obvious improvement in this compared to the stock brake. Every T7 should have this upgrade!

It does work!

Had a question during the install, and recieved 2 e-mails explaining what i was doing wrong. Once installed, the short test ride confirmed that the squishy brake lever problem was no longer. Followed up with a gravel ride, and The Fix lever provided a much better feel while standing.
Thanks for the great product.

Makes a difference

Really makes a difference right off the bat. I would recommend buying it. Only thing to be aware if is that the break light sensor isn't that easy to adjust. So make sure when you twist in the new lever, you put it a little higher on the brake adjuster screw.

Easy install, excellent engineering. I’ve purchased many products for my Tenere 700 from Camel ADV and this one is the most impressive. Such a huge improvement in pedal feel. Thanks!
