Like most modern bikes, the Tuareg 660 uses the engine as a "stressed member," meaning the motor is a crucial part of the frame. While this design enhances performance, it presents a challenge as there are not lower frame rails to mount a skid plate to and mounting a skid plate directly to the engine can transfer impact forces to the engine case, leading to costly and time-consuming repairs.

This skid plate has been through extensive design and testing in the rugged Canadian Rockies, ensuring it’s tough enough to handle anything you throw at it.

Center Stand Compatibility
It’s compatible with the T-REX Racing center stand. It is NOT compatible with the Aprilia center stand. Compatibility with other brands is yet to be confirmed.
