"The Fix" - T7 Rear Brake Pedal

$169.00 USD

You no longer have to deal with the Yamaha 700 Tenere's mushy rear brake! The Fix brake pedal addresses the OEM pedal issues. Install one on your bike and feel the difference!

The Fix brake pedal has a modified leverage ratio, which activates your rear brake with less pedal travel and less ankle deflection. This results in a crispier, more "sporty" brake feel.

You asked for a Fix version that was compatible with lowered footpegs; well, it's here! Make sure to select "V2" from the drop-down menu on the right side when ordering.

"The Fix" Features

  • Corrected leverage ratio, reducing pedal travel by about half compared to stock
  • Durable 6.4mm thick 304 stainless steel construction
  • Straighter shape to reduce pedal flexing while braking
  • Brass bushings to reduce slop in the pedal main pivot point
  • Grippy, replaceable stainless steel brake tip
  • Offset clevis to correct the master-cylinder pushrod angle
  • Black powder-coated finish
  • Enduro, Street or folding tip options

V1 or V2? Which is for you?

The V1's flatter profile has less flex through the pedal when applied, but it cannot be adjusted low enough to be used with lowered footpegs.

The V2's high OEM-style arch offers plenty of room for adjustment down when using lowered footpegs. The higher arch also means it will flex a bit more when you apply pressure to the pedal.

Both pedals offer the same leverage ratio correction, and both pedals flex far less than the OEM mild steel pedal.

Customers using a bolt-on water pump protector or a skid plate with a protector over the pump should consider the street or folding tip, as part of the tip will be covered with aftermarket water pump protectors.

*The V1 pedal is not recommended for use with lowered footpegs!

Quality Built Effective Upgrade

The ordering process was flawless. The delivery process not so much, I wasn’t home in the middle of the day to sign for the delivery attempts fortunately I live in a small town and was able to intercept the package before it was returned to the great white north. However I totally understand why a small manufacturer would need a “Signature Required” delivery due to the fact they can’t afford to eat porch pirated shipments. The packaging was top notch as were all the parts, excellent fit and finish's. Today’s use of “The installation video” is definitely an industry advancement. It’s almost impossible to screw up an installation. As a retired Motocross and Enduro racer I tend to use the heck out of my rear brake for much more than conventional braking. The day I rode my brand new T7 home I thought there was something wrong with the rear brake! it was dead and the pedal felt flexible and flimsy. As for the rear brake function after installation of “The Fix” my rear brake has improved about 75% I will probably upgrade to braided brake lines and change the pads. Is “The Fix worth it ABSOLUTELY 💯 at a minimum proper braking performance makes riding more fun and at the maximum could save my life. Well done Team Camel.
