We love the Yamaha T7 but found the clutch friction zone to be narrower than we'd like. To help smooth out the toggle switch-like clutch feel, we designed a new clutch actuator arm that is longer than stock. This longer arm widens the friction zone by 60% and reduces the clutch pull substantially for easy one-finger clutch operation! The wider friction zone and one-finger clutch operation make riding off-road more enjoyable. The light clutch pull is also great for riding in stop-and-go traffic.

The kit includes:

  • 6061 billet aluminum with internal splines to match the Tenere's threaded clutch shaft. Available in black, blue, and red 
  • Stainless steel cable guide
  • Stainless steel clevis, clevis pin, and cotter pin

  • The clutch friction zone is widened by up to 60%

This part is NOT compatible with the OEM Yamaha crash bars! All other crash bars are OK. That means you don't need to email to inquire your brand of crash bars is compatible! If you run no crash bars you are OK. If you use ANYTHING BUT OEM BARS, THE CLUTCH KIT IS COMPATIBLE.

Install was easy, and yes, I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Nice and smooth, with a much gentler pull than the stock set up.

Made an improvement

My decision was between the 1 finger clutch or the quickshifter. I'm so glad that I purchased this first. It does improve the clutch feel and makes it easier in between shifts. Along with handguards, this is a must of an upgrade. The price is right as well. It's breeze to install. Make sure you have a little "free play" in the lever.
