T7 Gut Guard Skid Plate

$359.00 USD

Does your T7 have Euro 5 exhaust?

The Euro 5 exhaust has the catalytic converter on the upper left side of the exhaust pipe. The bad news is that it requires a slightly different skid plate, but the good news is that we have one available! The Euro 5 version is slightly longer to make room for the Euro 5 exhaust's front-mounted catalytic convertor.

2020.5-up European T7s and ALL 2022-up T7s have Euro 5 exhaust!

If you don't know which exhaust you have, please look at the photo below! Make sure you select the right skid plate version in the drop-down menu when ordering!

Camel ADV T7 Gut Guard Skid Plate

Don't risk caving in your motor's oil stump during off-road rides any longer!

Constructed of 3/16" (4.75mm) aluminum, the plate is light and durable (we've tested the sh*t out of this thing!). All the joints are welded inside and out, and the whole unit is powder-coated for a great look. The skid plate attaches to the frame using the four factory locations, plus a 5th mount at the back of the skid plate for ultimate strength and engine protection.

We've incorporated an ultra-durable UHMW slip-liner with a built-in suspension linkage guard to the bottom of the skid plate. Now you can glide over rocks, roots, and stumps without damaging the low-hanging shock linkage!

Confirmed to fit with the following crash bar systems:

  • GIVI
  • OutBack Motortek
  • Heed (standard and Bunker)
  • Yamaha OEM
  • SW Motech
  • Touratech
  • Rival
  • Altrider

It may also be compatible with other crash bar brands; we have not been able to test them all at this time.

Quick and easy install, and we pay the shipping on US and Canadian skid plate orders!

Available in black and silver.

Skid plate weight: 3.3kg (7lb, 4.4oz)

Confirmed fit with the Yamaha OEM, SM Motech, and Hepco Becker center-stands.

*Neither version of the Gut Guard is compatible with the 700 Tenere Raid variant*

Follow the INSTRUCTIONs

Great skid plate no doubt, but follow the video instructions! Loosen the bolts on the bars you are mounting the plate too. It makes your life ten times easier. Fought with it for twenty minutes before watching the video, then I loosened the bars and the thing zipped right on.

Great Products

I have installed multiple Camel ADV products on my Tenere 700 (Gut guard, tail tidy, LED blinkers, anti-bobble head, fork guards, lowering links). They are all excellent. Install videos are the awesome. High quality, good looking products.

Great fit, easy installation

So after a I took a few mild hits on the stock tin piece they call a cowl, that almost pierced the aluminum, I recognized the need for an upgrade.

Watch video, easy install. This thing is sturdy and well built. The extra support in the rear of the plate is a requirement from my perspective and sets this one apart from others I considered.

Personal attention from the staff on orders sets them apart!

Confidence in a gut guard

I now have confidence in putting my bike up on the lift. The factory guard was soo thin I seriously cringed each time I cranked on the lift arm on the bike lift!
This guard is outstanding, clean welds, great protection. The installation took 15 minutes BECAUSE I WATCHED THE VIDEO, super easy!!!
No issues whatsoever installing with my HEED BUNKER crash bars.

Very poor engineering

NOTHING FITS!
2024 T7
Rear spacer is to long!
Using two bolts set, sucked,
Very difficult to tighten the right side bolt!
No wonder they had to make a special video to (make it work)
I think these guys would be better if they listened and hired a real engineer!!! Might look into a skid plate that doesn’t require you to spend 3 hours to (make it work)
I paid way too much money for this thing to (make it work)

Hey Dan, unfortunately a few kits shipped with a slightly mis-bent rear mount. That caused the mount's ears to be flared out a bit at the top which can make it difficult to get the up into the frame. We would have liked the opportunity to work with you to make it right before the 1-star review was left.
